Sorry i haven't blogged for a few weeks, had really bad flu just before christmas and had to spend a few days in bed recovering, I'm really gutted i had to miss the christmas market up at Liskeard, sorry if you were there I really couldn't manage a day outside in the cold ice and snow!

Icy Cornish Weather

I'd like to thank everyone who came to visit Liskeard yesterday, I had a good day despite the icy Cornish weather (i had 5 layers on with scarf, gloves and knee high boots and i was still cold!)

and I'm looking forward to going back again on Saturday 18th December for the Christmas Market, if you're near liskeard that day pop up to the cattle market to pick up some lovely unusual christmas presents from one of the local craft/market stalls, its free parking after 1pm in Liskeard town car park and doesnt cost too much to park before that.

Sad to admit i know but i'm a bit behind the rest of the world :)
I finally got round to watching twilight a couple weeks ago while i sat down for an evening making jewellery, although i have to say i didn't get much jewellery made, i absolutely loved the film and recorded new moon on sky+ which i watched the other night, yet again not getting much work done that evening either lol! I was completely glued to the screen, why didn't i get around to watching it before?
Its inspired me to come up with a vamp range, hopefully in time for the dvd release of eclipse next month (which i cannot wait for!!) so watch this space for vampire inspired jewellery!
I suppose 1 good thing about me being way behind the trends is i got to watch the first 2 films in the saga within a week of each other and now i've only got to wait about 3 weeks for the next instalment :)

Only 46 Days til Christmas!!

I can't beleive its only 46 Days until it's Christmas!

I've been working really hard the past couple days creating and packaging lots of gift sets to stock my shops for the festive seasons shoppers, I love creating with sparkly wintery beads, it's so much fun all cosy with a hot chocolate to help me get in the winter mood :)
I've managed to design quite a few different festive/party designs ready to restock Indigo Salon (Par green, Par, Cornwall) tomorrow, so if you're in the area soon pop in and see all the new designs.

I've had a nice week whilst its been raining heavy outside i've been sat indoors by the fire, nice and warm making lots of new designs, It's the one thing i like about winter, getting cosy indoors with a mug of hot white chocolate and making a mess getting beads all over the house lol!
This week I've made some more long necklaces in a range of completly different colours and materials - from semi-precious gemstones to funky glass swirl beads and fire-polished czech beads!

I've  also made a start on my Christmas range, with a few christmas charm bookmarks, Phone charms and bag charms. I figured as the shops on the highstreet have had christmas stock in for weeks and weeks its not too early to start putting my christmas jewellery and accessories onto my online shops.

Getting Colder

As winters drawing in and its getting cold enough to wear jumpers i've started making longer necklaces so you can still wear your favourite jewellery designs over your nice warm jumpers.

New Autumn Range

Firstly Good news, the craft fair at liskeard went well on saturday so i've booked 2 more in december!

It was a fun day with lots of entertainment and met some lovely people, had fun watching the samba band parade through liskeard town.

Craft Fair Next Weekend!

I've booked a stall next saturday at the craft fair in Liskeard, Cornwall.
It will be a fun day out in the town centre with lots going on, theres an international market, lots of craft stalls, entertainment throughout the day.

My First Shop Display!

My First Jewellery Display in a Shop!
i'm really pleased and proud, my handmade jewellery is displayed in a lovely glass cabinet at indigo salon 103 par green, par, cornwall (really nice of them to let me use their lovely glass cabinet)
I'm amazed at how different it looks when its displayed properly on busts and stands, it looks very professional.
If you're in the area pop in and have a look, the cabinet is just inside the window.
I've kept my prices low, they still start at just £2.50!
made up lots of gift sets in fancy boxes so they're ideal for presents for that someone special! something to suit a wide range of tastes.

Lovely Cornish Weather!

Well it looks as if we've had most of our good weather for the summer, its been raining lots this week, its got me think about making some new autumn and winter designs, i'm planning to have a big end of summer sale next month in my folksy shop to make way for new designs, will post on here when the sale starts (theres a few items on sale all ready on the last pages in my shop )

I'm quite looking forward to autumn/winter fr crafting, i've got some craft fairs lined up for October, November and December so will be making lots of gift sets for xmas pressie shoppers.

Very Excited

just booked my first proper Craft Fair for Saturday 31st July at Liskeard! only a couple weeks away, very exciting, going to busy over the next two weeks making lots of new creations, got loads of ideas - childrens jewellery, gift sets, more beach themed designs... so many ideas racing around my head! i want to make as much as possible so my table looks very interesting and there is plenty to choose from, kinda something for everyone, if i can manage to make it all :)
All comments and advice welcome - what would you buy most (jewellery/accessories) at a local craft fair? what do you like to see? any hints as its my first craft fair?
I'm trying to be organised, just ordered some funky carrier bags as i know its annoying when you buy something and have to carry it in your hand for the afternoon if it wont fit in your handbag (anything like mine, i can only fit my phone, purse and car keys lol)

I had a really nice productive afternoon yesterday, sat in my garden catching a tan and creating some new Jewellery & Bookmarks.
I made a green shell stars bookmark and phone charm gift set, 4 other bookmarks/sets, a wire wrapped cornish sea shell necklace and two pairs of earrings!

Happy Days

i'm having a happy week, been doing a beauty therapy course at college since last september and i finished my last assessment yesterday!!!!!! really pleased :)
new course brochure comes out this week so i'm thinking about signing up for a jewellery course this september, my goal is to learn at least 1 new thing a year and there is so much i want to learn! so watch this space, hopefully i'll be making jewellery with some new mediums in the future!

Lovely weather!

All though it was cold when i went to work at 6am this morning the weathers been really nice today, it's inspired me to make some more colouful summery designs later on, will post pics when they're finished.
I've been busy again, no rest for the wicked as they say!

Had a great week

Having a great week so far, been really busy again, won 1st place & got a trophy for my acrylic nails on wednesday at wotld skills uk regional heat (i'm a nail technician as well as a jewellery maker)
I've been sat out in the sun teaching me neice how to make jewellery.
I managed to find the time to make some more gemstone jewellery and to make some summery anklets to sell.
and i've got an ann summers party to look forward to tomorrow!

Filled My Shop

I have been working on making lots of new designs for summer using a wide range of different beads and designs, and i've had such fun making it all!

I've now filled up my folksy shop with 50 unique items to choose from!

My first craft fair!

i'm very excited, i've been asked to sell my jewellery at a local craft fair this saturday! very exciting, i'm very busy making lots of new jewellery and accessories to sell and have redesigned my packaging to show off my jewellery better. hope its busy and all goes well.

Another productive week

I've been getting alot done this week, pretty good considering i'm full of cold & flu! but then making jewellery makes me feel better! :)

with last weeks popularity of my charm bracelets i've decided to make a few more in different colours (as i make unique jewellery so i don't like doing 2 of the same)

and each bracelet will come packaged in a pink & gold organza bag, so it will make a brilliant present for yourself or someone special

A very productive afternoon!

It must be something to do with the sunshine coming through the windows! I've had a very productive crafty afternoon, i managed to make loads of jewellery - a colourball charm bracelet , matching colourball earrings , a starry bag charm and 3 pairs of earrings!

After going shopping in asda and seeing the hundreds of easter eggs and easter gifts i was inspired to make some easter creations!

I've stamped and coloured in with watercolour a very cute design of a rabbit holding a little chick which i've made into a fridge magnet, badge/brooch and funky earrings, i'm gradually uploading them into my online shop
